Negotiations

Because of the intensity of the negotiations I have not had time to do my blog for some time. We remained tight-lipped throughout which helped to build and maintain trust. However, it did prompt a bout of media speculation. Trevor was just on the phone saying that one of the commentators was on RTÉ at lunchtime expressing the view that Dan and I wanted the deal. This is total nonsense. I was uneasy all day Thursday and recommended we break off negotiations. This was accepted unanimously by the refrerence group.
