Corrib Gas Field

39. Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the current ownership of a 500 acre woodland named Beal na Boigh Wood which is the proposed location for the Corrib gas field terminal refinery; if this land has been sold to the exploration company involved; if it is still under State ownership of Coillte Teoranta; and if it has been sold, the conditions of such a sale.   Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources (Mr. D. Ahern): The woodland to which the Deputy refers is currently owned by Coillte Teoranta.  Any proposed sale of land would be an operational matter for the company.
